The Bicolored Pyramid Ant (Dorymyrmex bicolor) is a species of ant in the subfamily Formicinae. This species is known for its distinctive coloration and pyramid-shaped appearance of its thorax. This ant typically exhibits a bicolored appearance, with a combination of light and dark coloration, often featuring a reddish or brownish hue on the body, while the gaster is usually darker. Theser ants build their nests underground. The nests are usually simple and can be found in dry, sandy areas. They may create small mounds at the nest entrance.
