Brachymyrmex is a genus of ants in the subfamily Formicinae, commonly referred to as rover ants due to their small size and wandering behavior. Brachymyrmex ants are very small, with workers typically measuring between 1.5 to 2.5 mm in length. Brachymyrmex ants are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of food sources including sweets, proteins, and liquids such as honeydew produced by aphids and other sap-sucking insects.
