The blue-gray gnatcatcher is a small American songbird that is found in the southern United States, Mexico, Central America, and parts of South America. Their diet consists of small insects, spiders, and other invertebrates. They inhabit low shrubs, grasslands, and woodlands, and build cup-shaped nests in the crooks of tree branches. This active little bird has a habit of constantly flicking its tail and is known for its distinctive call. It is a blue-gray color with a white underside and a black tail with white edges.
