Bell's Vireo

Vireo bellii

The Vireo bellii is a small songbird found throughout North America. Its habitat consists of deciduous and coniferous woodlands. This bird has olive-green upperparts and yellow underparts, with white and black markings. It is a very active bird, and is often seen hopping along branches or flitting between trees. Its diet consists mainly of insects, berries and seeds. During the breeding season, the male of the species is known to sing a loud and complex song to attract a mate.
