Banasa calva
Banasa calva
Banasa calva is a species of stink bug in the family Pentatomidae, known for its characteristic odor and herbivorous feeding habits. As with other stink bugs, it produces a strong odor when threatened, which acts as a defense mechanism against predators. Like other stink bugs, Banasa calva feeds on plant sap. It uses its piercing-sucking mouthparts (proboscis) to feed on the fluids from a variety of plants, including trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants.
