Carousing Metalmark
Anteros carausiusNeeds
The Carousing Metalmark (Anteros carausius) is a striking butterfly species that is part of the Riodinidae family, also known as the metalmark butterflies. These butterflies are particularly known for their unique and colorful patterns, as well as their fascinating behaviors. The name "Carousing Metalmark" comes from the species' tendency to engage in mud-puddling (carousing) behavior, where they gather in large groups to feed on minerals and salts found in damp soil.
