Forrer's Leafwing

Memphis forreri

The Forrer's Leafwing, Memphis pithyusa, is a unique forreri from the Nymphalidae family. Known for its leaf-mimicking camouflage. The outer (underside) of the wings closely resembles a dead leaf, with brown tones and subtle, pale spotting, allowing it to mimic dried leaves when wings are closed.
