Pacifigorgia

Pacifigorgia is a genus of gorgonian corals (soft corals) found in the eastern Pacific Ocean, particularly along the coasts of Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, and the Galápagos Islands. These corals are commonly known as sea fans due to their intricate branching structures. Structure: Branching, fan-like colonies that provide habitat for various marine species. Coloration: Typically red, purple, orange, or pink, often with white polyps. Polyps: Small, flower-like structures that extend from the branches to filter-feed on plankton.
