Ipomoea pes-caprae (Beach Morning Glory) is a creeping evergreen vine with pink to lavender, reddish-purple, or violet flowers that open in the morning and begin to close up by afternoon. Attractive to bees, butterflies, moths, flies, beetles, wasps, and ants. It occurs naturally in coastal habitats, especially dunes and beaches where it is an important sand stabilizer and colonizer.
