Luffa aegyptiaca

The Sponge Gourd, also known as Luffa aegyptiaca, is a member of the cucumber family. This plant can be found growing in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Its long, cylindrical fruits can reach up to 30 cm and are covered in spongy fibers. These fibers make the Sponge Gourd an excellent exfoliant and cleaning tool, as well as a fun and interesting addition to any nature photography. It has bright green leaves and yellow flowers.
