Dragonflies and Damselflies (Order Odonata)
The Cream-tipped Swampdamsel (Leptobasis melinogaster) is a delicate damselfly species in the family Coenagrionidae. The abdomen is darker, with cream or pale yellow markings toward the tip, giving it the "cream-tipped" appearance. Often perches on grasses, reeds, or other vegetation close to the water’s edge. When at rest, they hold their wings together above their body, as is characteristic of damselflies.
