Mosquitofish is a small, live-bearing fish, is dull grey or brown in color with no bars of bands on the sides, and has a rounded tail. These fish have been introduced around the world in an effort to control disease carrying mosquitos, but they have also impacted native fish in many parts of their introduced range.
