Zaca Blenny
Malacoctenus zacae
The Zaca Blenny (Malacoctenus zacae) is a species of scaly blenny belonging to the family Labrisomidae and the genus Malacoctenus. It inhabits shallow reefs and rocky environments. A benthic (bottom-dwelling) species that stays close to the substrate. Feeds on small invertebrates (such as crustaceans and mollusks) and algae. Uses camouflage and quick movements to avoid predators.
