Bumphead Parrotfish
Scarus perrico
The Bumphead Parrotfish is found in and around rocky coral reefs at depths up to 30 m (100 feet). They forage during the day, feeding on algae and corals, specifically coraline red algae which it scrapes off rock with it's beak-like mouth. It is found in the Eastern Pacific, from the Gulf of California to Peru, also found around the Galapagos Islands.
