The genus Paramysidia comprises a group of derbid planthoppers within the family Derbidae. Due to its appearance, it can sometimes be mistaken for a moth. Derbid planthoppers, including those in the genus Paramysidia, are typically small insects that feed on plant sap. They possess specialized mouthparts adapted for piercing and sucking.
