An air breathing land slug it is an invasive species, considered a serious pest of agriculture. It is a flat, greyish-brown slug, up to 70 mm long. This slug hatches from eggs. Juvenile specimens search for food nearly always at night, and stay buried in the soil during the day. Larger specimens can be active during the day. Thy are specially adapted to survive in dry and warm conditions that would kill other gastropods.
