Natica Moon Snail
Genus Natica
The genus Natica belongs to the family Naticidae, a group of predatory marine gastropods commonly known as moon snails. These snails are known for their smooth, rounded shells and their ability to burrow in sandy substrates. Globular, smooth, and glossy shells, often with a low spire. They have a large foot that allows them to burrow quickly into the sand. Carnivorous predators, primarily feeding on bivalves and other mollusks.
