The genus Engina is a group of small marine snails in the family Buccinidae, commonly referred to as true whelks and their allies. These snails are found in shallow marine environments and are known for their beautifully patterned and often brightly colored shells. Carnivorous or scavenging, feeding on small invertebrates, detritus, and carrion.
