ORDER LEPIDOPTERA
Emerald Moths
Genus Chloropteryx
The Emerald Moth (Chloropteryx) is a genus of moths belonging to the family Geometridae, which is known for its distinctive and often vibrant green-colored wings that give it the common name "Emerald Moth." Like many other geometer moths, Chloropteryx moths typically rest with their wings spread flat or slightly arched over their bodies. Their coloration helps them blend into their surroundings, such as leaves or tree bark, where they are often found.
