This species is rather small and reaches from 4 to 6 cm. Centruroides meisei has a yellow-brown base coloration. They are generalists that are usually found on the surface under any object that can provide them with shelter, and it is common to find them under plant debris. They are mainly found in coastal areas, at altitudes below 1000 meters above sea level. They are only known to live in Southwestern Mexico.
