Wasps of Zihuatanejo
ORDER HYMENOPTERA
Chalcidoid Wasps
Tribe Pteromalini
Members of the Pteromalini tribe are parasitoid wasps, meaning they lay their eggs on or inside the bodies of other insects (usually other arthropods), and the larvae feed on or in their hosts. The head of Pteromalini wasps is generally large in proportion to the body and has well-developed compound eyes.
